This audio recording is an effort to bring an eye witness story of Ato Tesfaye B. who ran for office to represent the Humbo wereda during the 2005 elections he ran for office to represent the Humbo wereda to the events that unfolded during that period. Not only is it a historical record but also has within it lessons to be learned for the coming elections. Ato Tesfaye B. currently residing in LA, of his experience in the 2005 elections and had played a major leadership role in organizing and establishing MEAD prior to the 2005 elections in the Welayta zone. In his wereda out of the 67 voting stations he won outright in the 27 stations where the elections and the count has held without any incident of fraud. In the remainder of the 38 voting poles EPRDF stole all the election ballots through intimidation and force. It is Ato Tesfaye's estimation that that Kinijit had won in all the wereda's of Welayta during the 2005 elections. Courtesy KASA, LA Chapter
